Achieving this visibility can enhance awareness of your business and provide ample opportunities to showcase your services, products, and projects effectively. How can search engine optimization assist you in achieving this goal?

What Is Search Engine Optimization?

Social media has not only revolutionized the way we communicate, but it has also redefined the dynamics of business, politics, and society as a whole.

The Balanced Scorecard is a very popular strategic management framework, and it will be the subject of this article of our Key Business Concepts 101 series. The Balanced Scorecard (BSC) is a management tool that has grown in prominence since its introduction by Kaplan and Norton in a 1992 article in the Harvard Business Review.

The BSC can be used to create, carry out, keep tabs on, and modify corporate strategies and plans. As a strategic management tool, the BSC aligns a company's everyday actions with its long-term goals. The ability to monitor and quantify performance is another benefit. Financial, customer, process, and learning and growth are the four main pillars around which the company's strategic initiatives are built. The purpose of this effort is to develop a streamlined and simplified dashboard that provides a comprehensive view of the company's performance from these four perspectives.

How telecommunications have become inherently integral to our lives

By: Lana Bawaneh
telecommunication is integral part of our lives

The word telecommunications comes from the Greek prefix tele-, which means "distant," combined with the Latin word communicare, which means "to share."

From the beginning of time, people tried to figure out many ways to communicate remotely with each other. Starting with the primitive methods of communication to deliver some kind of messages, such as drums and smoke signals to mechanical communication devices such as the telegraph. Back then, the telegraph helped a lot in shortening the communications from days, weeks, and even months to only hours.

The technology also extended with new inventions such as the telephone, the radio, television, and later, video telephony, satellites, mobile phones, and the Internet. All of these technological advances changed how people live and communicate.

How to make work meetings actually productive

By: Cesilia Faustina

For all the employees out there, I’m sure we can agree that meetings are not the most fun activity there is. A lot of the time, meetings end up mundane and essentially a waste of one’s time; not saying that all meetings are a waste of time, but many employers tend to depend on meetings too much with very little results.

Sometimes, employers need to take a step back and ask the question, “is it worth it?” Meetings have become the culture in corporate spaces now, but many tend to forget that sometimes, some things don’t require meetings. Now, I’m not saying we should get rid of meetings altogether, as I know that meetings are needed and can be quite useful when applicable, but employers definitely need to review their meeting usage, especially during the era of COVID-19 and working-from-home.

How to choose a Document Management System that suits your business

By: Lana Bawnaeh

Let’s look back at how organizations used to keep everything related to their businesses documented and archived before having a Document Management System.

Back in the days, documents were generated using printers which consumed a lot of time and effort, not to mention the number of papers wasted in the process. Keeping all of these documents and papers physically stored in storage areas used to cost companies large sums of money. Depending on the nature of documents, some of them are considered very critical. Furthermore, there was usually a storage plan implemented to keep them off-site rather than in-house.

How technology is becoming more important than ever in times of a pandemic

By: Cesilia Faustina

In times of the coronavirus pandemic, could technology be the answer? As more and more countries are going on lockdown and we are all forced to stay in self-quarantine, we may be facing a new era of world order.

Since the self-quarantine started, hands down, it was no easy task. I constantly have an overwhelming desire to constantly sleep, eat and binge-watch, however, that wasn’t the only case. I also managed to build a closer relationship with my sister, become more productive with my writing and was actively trying to have a social life.
